Kemlyn Bailey Lomas was arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in Hammond two weeks ago. The victim was hospitalized (see below) and Lomas was charged with crimes including Attempted Manslaughter.
Yesterday, police confirmed the victim has died.

Current Planning Commissioner and former mayoral candidate in Gonzales, Kemlyn Bailey Lomas was arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in Hammond Wednesday.
According to reports, Hammond Police responding to the scene found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim was transported to North Oaks Medical Center.
Lomas turned herself in to authorities after witnesses identified her to police. According to Tangipahoa Parish Jail booking records, Lomas was charged with:
- Attempted Manslaughter
- Illegal Use of Weapons
- Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapons
