I regret to announce that our Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Patrick Goldsmith is departing Parish government at the end of this week for an opportunity outside of the Parish. Patrick has been an essential part of our success over the past few years and his leadership and experience will be missed. However, we are fortunate to have someone poised to fill his role that has the experience and skills to ensure a seamless transition.
“I am pleased to announce the promotion of Ruth Phillips to Interim CAO,” stated Parish President Clint Cointment.
Phillips will assume the new position effective November 6, 2023.
Ruth has been an integral part, and an amazing leader of our Administration since the Cointment Administration began in 2020, and her hard work, dedication, and exceptional contributions have not gone unnoticed. Her responsibilities have grown over the years, making this an easy decision and easy transition for the Parish and its employees. Ruth’s diverse job background outside of Parish Government consists of recreation, construction, engineering and even designing custom command centers which has been a tremendous asset for our staff. Throughout her time with the Parish, she has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for our Parish’s mission.
In her new role as interim CAO, Ruth will be responsible for directing and coordinating the administration of Parish government. I have full confidence that her expertise and vision will drive our
team to even greater heights and contribute significantly to our overall success.
