On behalf of Sheriff Bobby Webre and the entire Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office family, we are proud to announce the promotion of Colonel Tony Tureau and his swearing in as Chief Deputy.
Many of you may recognize Chief Tureau from his work in community outreach, where he has served as Captain for the past several years. However, his career with the Sheriff’s Office spans nearly every aspect of law enforcement, including Corrections, Patrol, Motors, Investigations, and Standards and Accountability
You name it, and chances are Tony Tureau has done it.
Family, friends, and coworkers gathered to celebrate his promotion during a swearing in ceremony, where Clerk of Court Bridget Hanna administered the oath of office.
“What makes Tony especially qualified for this position isn’t just the number of divisions he’s served in, but the way he’s served in each one. He leads by example, treats people with respect, and approaches every challenge with professionalism. Throughout his career, he has consistently placed the mission of this office and the people of Ascension Parish above himself.” — Sheriff Bobby Webre
Congratulations, Chief Tureau! We look forward to your continued leadership and service to the people of Ascension Parish
