Community Forum to Highlight Support Services for Individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Delays
The Arc of East Ascension is inviting families, caregivers, educators, and community members to attend an informational event focused on home and community support services for children and adults with developmental and intellectual delays.
The event, titled “Accessing Home and Community Supports and Services for Children and Adults with Developmental and Intellectual Delays,” aims to help families better understand available resources, eligibility requirements, and transition services for individuals with disabilities.
The Arc of East Ascension say the gathering will provide an opportunity for local providers and families to connect, share information, and discuss next steps in accessing support services. The event is open to all community members interested in learning more about developmental disability resources and community-based assistance programs.
“Let’s work together to navigate next steps in transition services,” states Executive Director Raven LaBiche , emphasizing collaboration between families and service providers.
The event will take place on June 3, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at Walk-On’s (by Cabela’s).
Community members who would like additional information or wish to RSVP may contact The Arc of East Ascension at 225-621-2000 or by email at info@thearcea.org.
The program is presented by The Arc of East Ascension, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, and community resources.
