On Friday, April 17, we will host a FREE job fair and expungement event at the Sheriff’s WAG Center in Donaldsonville beginning at 10 a.m. If you need just a little extra help getting back on your feet, we want to help.
The Justice and Accountability Center of Louisiana (JAC) will be offering on-site expungement assistance. Generally, you may be eligible for an expungement if your charges were dismissed, if you were found not guilty, or if you were convicted of a nonviolent misdemeanor or felony.
Those interested should bring their court documents, including a background check, bill of information, and sentencing minutes. These documents can be obtained from the Sheriff’s Office and Clerk of Court prior to the event.
Individuals who are unable to obtain these documents before the event should still attend. JAC will be able to guide them through the online process to upload their documents and complete the expungement paperwork at a later date.
