AP Schools announces leadership appointments at Prairieville HS

Ascension Public Schools is proud to announce the appointments of Daniel Lambert, Associate Principal, and Gregory “Chase” Dupuis, Assistant Principal at Prairieville High School.

“Prairieville High School is stepping into an exciting new chapter with the addition of two dynamic leaders who bring proven experience and a shared commitment to student success. Their leadership will strengthen an already strong school community and help build a tradition of excellence at Prairieville High,” said Superintendent Edith M. Walker, Ed.D.

Daniel Lambert has spent his entire career serving students in Ascension Public Schools, building meaningful relationships and a commitment to student success along the way.

Lambert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Throughout his career in Ascension, Lambert has served in a variety of roles, including teaching science and coaching football at East Ascension High School, and later serving as a teacher and coach at Dutchtown High School. Most recently, he served as an assistant principal at Prairieville High School.

“I would first like to thank Dr. Walker and the board for this opportunity to continue helping lead the growing community at Prairieville High. I am fortunate to work alongside an equally talented team of administrators and teachers. I am proud of how we continue to grow together, both professionally and as a family, and I am thankful for their support,” said Lambert.

He is married to Melissa Lambert, and they have two children: Eleanor and Lillian.

Gregory “Chase” Dupuis, Assistant Principal of Prairieville High School

Gregory “Chase” Dupuis, Assistant Principal of Prairieville High SchoolGregory “Chase” Dupuis has spent his entire career in Ascension Public Schools, fostering strong relationships and maintaining a deep commitment to student success.

Dupuis earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Throughout his career in Ascension, Dupuis has served in a variety of roles, including teaching World History and coaching multiple sports at Lake Middle School for four years. He then spent 10 years at St. Amant High School teaching World Geography and AP Human Geography while continuing to coach. Most recently, he served at Prairieville High School, where he taught the same subjects and took on administrative responsibilities.

“Our students are another reason I am so passionate about this work. They make coming to school each day meaningful, and the energy and support they give back is something I truly value. I’m incredibly excited for what’s ahead and proud to continue serving this community. I think our student body is awesome. That’s why I enjoy going to work every day and I’m happy to be in this spot to work with them,” said Dupuis.

He is married to Laura Dupuis, and they have four children: Beck, Clint, Corey, and Daisy.
