Louisiana Supreme Court warns of Text Message Scam

Individuals have received text messages from the “Louisiana Superior Court” claiming the recipient has an “outstanding traffic ticket” and must pay a fee or face repercussions. There is no court known as the “Louisiana Superior Court.” Further, the Louisiana Supreme Court does not send text messages or emails threatening prosecution for traffic or fee violations.
