Announced yesterday, Parish President Clint Cointment has promoted Ricky Compton to Infrastructure Division Director effective November 6, 2023. The position, created in October of 2017 and immediately filled by the former parish president’s hiring of William Daniel, has been vacant since the end of 2019 when he was not retained by the incoming Cointment administration.
“Ricky Compton in his 12 years with Ascension Parish has continually shown there is no task too great for him to tackle. He has played an integral part in helping with planning, drainage, and transportation changes to ensure Ascension Parish is building better communities, not just more houses. So it is with great confidence that he will be the Interim Infrastructure Division Director for the Parish and continue to bring his many talents to more of our departments,” President Cointment said.
