City of Gonzales to acquire acreage for PACE Center

Gonzales City Council adopted a resolution on Monday to approving the acquisition of the five-acre tract where the Performing Arts, Conference and Events (PACE) Center will be built.  The vote was unanimous, clearing the way for execution of the necessary closing documents to proceed as the council also approved the Final Plat of “Tract R” in Heritage Crossing, the development which will feature “the city’s next civic treasure.”

Construction of PACE Center will be funded by the Hotel/Motel Occupancy tax adopted by Gonzales voters in 2018.  At last count the fund totaled $545,338 as…
