Announcing Artsplosion! Summer Camp 2020

This summer, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge will offer Artsplosion! Summer Camps, following local and state recommendations related to COVID-19 to ensure a safe and fun experience for both campers and staff.

Joined by local arts organizations and professional teaching artists, Artsplosion! will allow campers to delve into the creative process and learn exciting new perspectives through artmaking.  Kids’ Orchestra, Playmakers of BR, and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra are among those who will provide programming during this 4-week camp.  At this time, the enrollment is capped at 16 children per week. Should Louisiana enter Phase II on the Governor’s Roadmap to a Resilient Louisiana, additional spots will be offered.

Registration is $275 per week for children who will enter grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade for the 2020-2021 school year. Camps will be held at the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Monday – Friday, July 6-31, from 8:00AM – 3:30PM.

“We are excited to provide families with quality childcare and artistic content that will engage, entertain, and help campers find their creative spark”, says Leea Russell, Director of Education.
