Ascension Parish Government Offices closed to Public Access

Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment has announced the following office closures, which are effective immediately:

Customer Service Center for Parish Utilities of Ascension and Ascension Consolidated Utilities District #1 are closed to public access. Payments can be made by telephone, online, or in the drop box located at 38 Veterans Blvd, Donaldsonville. At this time cash payments will not be accepted for utility services.

Department of Public Works and East Ascension Consolidated Gravity Drainage offices in Gonzales and West Ascension Drainage in Donaldsonville are closed to public access. All requests for service should be made through the Citizens Service Center, 225-450-1200.

The Recycling Center at the DPW building in Gonzales will remain open until further notice.

Additionally, all Parish parks and recreational facilities, including community centers, playgrounds, and sports fields, will be closed until further notice.

Previously announced was the closure of the Ascension Parish Governmental Complex at 615 East Worthey Street in Gonzales. The complex houses Parish Administration, Finance, Purchasing, Grants, Planning and Development, Building and Permits Department, and the Council Secretary.
