ALL meetings of AP Council, committees, and boards CANCELED until further notice

Ascension Parish Council Chairwoman Teri Casso announced today that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and Governor Edwards’ proclamation JBE 2020-30, all meetings of the Ascension Parish Council and its committees, starting with the March 19 Council meeting, are cancelled until further notice. The Council committees included in the cancellations are Strategic Planning, Transportation, Finance, Recreation, Utilities, and Personnel.

Additionally, East Ascension Consolidated Gravity Drainage Board Chairman Dempsey Lambert has cancelled all meetings of the Drainage Board until further notice.

Alvin “Coach” Thomas, Chairman of the West Ascension Drainage Board, confirmed that those meetings were cancelled as well.

Parish Administration advises that Board of Adjustments and Planning & Zoning meetings also are cancelled until further notice.
