Music Dreams: An American Story at two AP Library locations in February

The Story of Henry Turner, Jr. and Flavor

“Gatemouth” Brown said, “The Blues is a feeling…nothing but a feeling.”  Join us at the Ascension Parish Library for a viewing of Music Dreams: An American Story, a local independent film that profiles musician/songwriter/music entrepreneur, Henry Turner, Jr. and his band, Flavor.  Together we’ll explore Blues music in Baton Rouge, how Reggae influenced the Blues, and how to make it in the music business.

Film showings and a panel discussion with Henry Turner, Jr. et al will be held at two locations: Saturday, February 15 at 12:00 p.m. in Donaldsonville; and Saturday, February 29 at 12:00 p.m. in Galvez.  For more information please call the Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville at 473-8052 or in Galvez at 622-3339.
