Cointment proclaims LSU Week in Ascension Parish

Ascension Parish Governmental Complex employees gather in the building’s lobby to celebrate LSU’s victory over Clemson in the National Championship Game

Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment has proclaimed January 13 through 17 as LSU Week in Ascension Parish, and encouraged all parish employees to wear LSU apparel all week long in celebration of the Tigers’ monumental and historic win in the National Championship football game.

“If there is one thing that unites everyone in Ascension, it’s the love of LSU football,” said Cointment.  “And LSU’s great win last night in the Superdome has put everyone here in high spirits.”

Parish employees who work in the Governmental Complex met today in the lobby to cheer for the team and to celebrate the victory.

“LSU is one team focused on victory,” said Cointment. “My goal is one Parish team focused on winning for the people.”

Cointment also noted that there will be a Victory Parade for the 2019 National Champion LSU Tigers Saturday, January 18 at 11am at Tiger Stadium Championship Plaza on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.
