Ribbon Cutting for New Student Services Building today

Gonzales, La. — The Ascension Parish School Board will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a new Student Services Building on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. This is part of the school district recovery from the Flood of 2016.

In the Fall of 2016, six schools were flooded as well as a number of district offices. At the time, the Student Services Office, also known as the Residency, Verification and Truancy Office (RVTO), was located on the old G.W. Carver Primary campus in Gonzales. Since the flood, the office has been operating out of temporary locations.
