The Salvation Army hosts Turkey Drive to Feed our Neighbors in Need (today)

The Salvation Army is sponsoring a Turkey Drive to collect 75 un-cooked/frozen turkeys for a Thanksgiving meal outreach locally, including Ascension Parish. These meals will be given to 3000 of our neighbors in need the day before Thanksgiving allowing them to eat them that night or save them for Thanksgiving Day.

Participating entities include the Salvation Army-Greater Baton Rouge, Golden Corral, Gulf Coast Bank and Trust, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, BR Proud, Gulf Coast Produce,  Flowers Foods,  The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and Lewis Mohr Agency.

The goal is to collect the necessary items to feed 3000 of our Baton Rouge neighbors a Thanksgiving meal.  Donations can be made Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm at the Salvation Army Family Store, 10420 Coursey Blvd. ( located between Home Depot and Dollar Tree)
