THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University, in collaboration with River Parishes Community College, will be conducting an Executive MBA (EMBA) information session on the campus of RPCC on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, starting at 5:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to acquaint interested working professionals with details about the Nicholls EMBA program and to assess the possibility of conducting the 18-month program on the RPCC campus.
According to Dr. Bruce Waguespack, Vice Chancellor for Workforce Development, “RPCC is continually looking for ways to deliver enriched educational opportunities to individuals and businesses in the river parishes. This potential ‘win-win’ collaboration with Nicholls would allow for an expanded level of program delivery at our college while making it convenient for individuals to earn an MBA.”
Dr. Marilyn Macik-Frey, Dean, College of Business Administration, adds, “Collaborating with RPCC would give Nicholls an excellent opportunity to deliver a quality business education to working professionals in the river parishes while minimizing travel to our main campus.”
The Nicholls EMBA program is delivered in a “lock-step” format, where participants begin and complete the program together. This approach allows students to develop lasting professional networks and long-term friendships. Each EMBA cohort is limited to 15 individuals and focuses on business analysis and decision support.
