EATEL awards $500 grants supporting ten Ascension Parish teachers

“Reach-A-Kid, Teach-A-Kid” Grant Program Accepting Applications through Sept. 23

Gonzales, LA – September 9, 2019 – EATEL, Gonzales-based local communications provider, is seeking nominations for the 2019 ‘Reach-A-Kid, Teach-A-Kid’ grant program through Monday, September 23, 2019. The program will award a total of ten teachers across Ascension Parish with $500 to implement innovative and creative classroom projects that encourage students’ learning.

For over 20 years, the program has helped fund a variety of projects in the local school system. Totaling over $100,000 to date and reaching all grade levels, K-12, this grant opens the doors to creative thinking for students and teachers.

“It’s important for us to support our community,” says Josh Descant, President of EATEL. “There’s no better way for us to invest in our future than to support education. We are proud to offer this program to empower teachers to do what they do best, inspire our children through creativity.”
