Edmonston’s BESE Board experience distinguishes her from District 88 opponents

For the past twenty-five years, Kathy Edmonston has worked in the Ascension Parish school system with parents and teachers to insure student success in the classroom.  She has worked extensively with students with disabilities as well.  Kathy’s experience on the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) has positioned her to understand the legislative process and build relationships at the Capitol.

During her tenure on the BESE over the past three plus years she supported and pushed for the first teacher pay raise in a decade and an increase in the Minimum Foundation Program that determines dollars that follow each child.  Kathy understands that the key to a bright future for our children and our state lies in the investment we place in our children.  Kathy’s strong conservative values will guide her to promote and vote for policies that support the family and build conservative values in our children.

“Serving Ascension families has been my legacy and I believe I can better serve the citizens of Ascension Parish as their representative in District 88.”

Cast your vote for an experienced conservative on October 12th. Early voting begins on September 28th through October 5th (Saturday to Saturday, excluding Sunday) at the East Ascension Courthouse in Gonzales or at the Oak Grove Community Center in Prairieville.  Both offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
