Graves, Matassa, Ricks and PLD to finalize regional agreement (and Laurel Ridge Levee project) on Friday

Gonzales, LA– On Friday, January 25th at 10:00 am Congressman Garret Graves (LA-06), Ascension Parish President Kenny Matassa, and Pontchartrain Levee District President Ricky Bosco will meet to finalize the regional drainage agreement between Livingston Parish and Ascension Parish that will allow for work to commence on the $24 million Laurel Ridge Levee extension.  This agreement is the first step toward a broader pact among parishes in the Amite River Basin to facilitate drainage improvements while striving  to protect residents from additional flood risk.
